Taking inspiration from Audio-Technica’s BP40 broadcast microphone, the AT2040 features a highly directional, precision-made hypercardioid pickup for “professional-quality broadcasts”,  a large diaphragm that aims to deliver a “smooth, natural sound,” and an internal multistage windscreen to reduce external noises.

The microphone also includes an integrated shock mount to block vibrations and noise that could be transmitted through the mic stand or mount.

The AT2040 is available now, and retails for £89.
