“Forged in a whiplash; the rare, fertile moments when both fresh grief and fresh love occur.”
St. Louis singer-songwriter Angel Olsen is releasing a new album, called Big Time, via Jagjaguwar this June.
Big Time was recorded with co-producer Jonathan Wilson at Fivestar Studios, with Drew Erickson on piano/organ/string arrangements, and Emily Elhaj on bass.
The album taps into the expansive feeling of new love, written after Olsen’s first experience of queer love and heartbreak.
It was “forged in a whiplash; the rare, fertile moments when both fresh grief and fresh love occur.”
Big Time follows the release of her last studio album — Whole New Mess.
