Drumming Up Trouble.

Alvin Curran is releasing a new album, called Drumming Up Trouble, via Black Truffle this September.

The album features previously unreleased material recorded between 2018 and 2021 — plus a piece from the early ’80s — focusing on his experiments with sampled and synthesised percussion.

Curran’s long-standing interest in drumming “belongs to the radical investigation of music’s fundamental elements,” the label notes.

Drumming Up Trouble follows Black Truffle’s archival release of Arnold Dreyblatt & Paul Panhuysen’s Duo Geloso LP, earlier in August.
