Yo! Selector takes you into the deepest corners of your favourite DJ’s record bag.

From the weirdest bargain bin finds, to the juiciest slow jams, rarest samples and stone-cold floor-emptiers, every DJ has his or her own individual approach to building a set. It’s these records that we’re setting out to discover and share with you.

Having met with Moses Boyd, Mafalda, Josey Rebelle, the series continues at Dimensions festival with Sassy J.

Through the Patchwork nights she’s run in Bern for the past decade, Sassy J has drawn artists like Moodymann, Floating Points and MF Doom to the de facto Swiss capital.

Sassy J brings the same heartfelt selection that has attracted so many to her homegrown parties with her on the road, with sets that span everything from Earth Wind & Fire and Brainstorm to Ron Trent to 2000Black.

We caught up with Sassy J after her Dimension set on the Croatian shores, to find out how she keeps things fresh by staying true to one mantra: “play tunes you love”.
