New online directory celebrates women, trans, and non-binary musicians

The platform currently features over 250 artists.

A new online directory, called In The Keys Of She, has launched to collate and celebrate women, trans, and non-binary musicians.

Launched by DJ, producer, and university professor Samantha Parsley, In The Keys Of She aims to help address the gender imbalances across the music industry and to help diversify festival and club line-ups.

As the platform notes, “Women make up only 2-5% of music producers, and DJ line-ups in the world’s clubs and festivals are still male dominated.”

In The Keys Of She currently features over 250 artists, with the option of searching by name as well as by genre.

The platform will also feature think pieces, reviews, and short articles from project lead Professor Sam Warren.
