The Diskokaine boss recruits Legowelt and Simoncino for his sultry new 12″.

Austria’s Wolfram Eckert appeared on trusty dance-punk imprint DFA last summer with his ‘Can’t Remember’/’Talking To You’ EP, and now he’s taken a sideways step onto Firehouse Recordings, the fledgling label run by Kim Ann Foxman (formerly of Hercules and Love Affair) with The Vinyl Factory.

Wolfram’s latest offering is ‘United 707’, a moody, 80s-inspired house groove with all the swagger of a batwing leather jacket holding a dirty martini. The 12″ comes backed with a ‘mystic’ mix by Italian producer Simoncino and a remix from synth lord Legowelt, who adds his signature sci-fi squelch and a tuff electro edge to the original.

Check out the original and Legowelt’s remix in the videos below and grab the 12″, which comes on 180g vinyl in a full colour sleeve, limited to 500 copies, from VF Editions.

Watch Foxman introduce her label and go record shopping at Brooklyn vinyl mecca The Thing in this documentary.
