William Basinski and Janek Schaefer unveil new collaborative LP

Dedicated to Harold Budd.

William Basinski and Janek Schaefer are releasing a new collaborative album, titled . . . On Reflection, via Temporary Residence Ltd this April.

The pair spent eight years working on the album, reworking and reimagining piano pieces from across their collective archives.

. . . On Reflection is “a celebratory meditation where sound shimmers through time like the light of the sea’s waves glistening as it folds and unfolds upon itself,” say the pair.

The album is dedicated to Harold Budd, the American composer who died on the 8th December 2020.
