Watch Blip Discs’ record with Mubashira Mataali Group in Uganda

Capturing the rhythmic spiritual music of the Kampala drum collective.

Earlier this year, London label Blip Discs announced a new EP of original recordings from the 25-member Mubashira Mataali Group.

Recorded in person in Kampala, Uganda, the record is accompanied by a short documentary charting the story of the group and the studio sessions, where they performed a selection of trance-inducing Islamic devotional songs for the EP.
