Come and work with us.
The Vinyl Factory is looking for a full-time editorial assistant to work as part of a dynamic team in our London office.
Candidates should be familiar with The Vinyl Factory’s editorial direction and at ease covering a large range of music, from classic albums and cult rarities to new music from across a spectrum of genres.
As is the nature of online editorial, your job will be split between a number of tasks, first of which will be to source and write-up relevant news stories on a daily basis, keeping on top of the latest new releases, reissues, trends and technological developments.
As well as the records themselves, you should have a keen interest in turntables and analogue equipment, and feel able to cover these with confidence.
Another key aspect of your role will include sub-editing, uploading and posting features to the site on a daily basis, as well as contributing ideas and pitches for new features, films and projects.
Finally, you will also be working with the editorial team to source and identify relevant visual content for the site and help grow VF’s worldwide network of artists, DJs, collectors, labels and shops.
Candidates must be able to thrive under the pressures of working in the fast-paced digital publishing environment and be proficient in the following:
– News & content sourcing tools (Google Alerts, Crowdtangle etc)
– Project management & organisational tools (Google Drive etc)
– Social media platforms & scheduling (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc)
– Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite a plus…
