The Velvet Underground’s Loaded is getting a 9 LP vinyl reissue

Revisit the 1970 classic.

The Velvet Underground’s Loaded is receiving an expansive vinyl boxset release this March.

The 1970 classic, which contains popular cuts like “Sweet Jane,” “Head Held High,” and “Oh! Sweet Nuthin’”, was Lou Reed’s final release with The Velvet Underground.

This “Fully Re-Loaded Edition” includes nine LPs with stereo, mono, and “full-Length” mixes of the album as well as a selection of demos, studio outtakes, and live recordings.

The live discs capture a 1970 performance at the Second Fret in Philadelphia and Lou Reed’s last performance with the band, in New York City at Max’s Kansas City nightclub.

Four 7-inch singles are also part of the completionist package which comes with a deluxe, foil-wrapped slipcase, a poster of the album’s artwork and an illustrated booklet with liner notes by Lenny Kaye.
