The five nights of celebration ends with a huge birthday finale.

London DIY promoters The Cause have announced their upcoming season to celebrate their fifth anniversary.

To kick off the celebrations, they’re are hosting a fundraiser in support of those affected by the Turkey & Syrian earthquake on Friday 24 February.

The following four parties will run through until May and range from raves at their 60 Dock Road space to boat parties on the Thames. The events will feature Masters At Work, Hiroko Yamamura, Sonja Moonear, Evan Baggs, ‘High Waters’ boat parties, an earthquake relief fundraiser and more to be announced.

The Cause was founded by Stuart Glen and Eugene Wild back in 2018, when they took over an ex-car mechanics warehouse at Ashley House in Tottenham, North London. Originally with just a 12-month contract, The Cause ran events there until early 2022 and have since housed events at their temporary space at 60 Dock Road in Silvertown, East London.

Speaking about the birthday celebrations, Stuart Glen said: “Ashley House was simply incredible. That building had soul, it had love, it had community in its roots. It will never be forgotten. Since then we’ve been in survival mode. Keeping financially afloat, the team together and the vibe alive without a building to reside in has been tough. With more regular shows now and what feels like some stability, 2023 feels like it’s time to get back to our roots and leverage spaces to both help others and throw some of the best parties we can.”

Co-founder Eugene Wild adds: “Masters At Work are pretty much as big as you can get whilst still keeping it underground.. Absolute OG’s that you simply don’t get to hear in venues our size. We are overwhelmed that they accepted our invitation to celebrate with us.”

Tickets for Part I, II and III are on sale now.
