A high-performance trio – part of its Grand Class and Premium series

Technics is releasing three new high-end products: the SU-G700M2 integrated amplifier, SB-G90M2 Grand Class floor-standing speakers, and the SB-C600 compact bookshelf speakers.

SB-G90M2 Grand Class floor-standing speakers

The SB-G90M2 Grand Class floor-standing speakers are an upgrade to the Technics’ SB-G90s. They feature Advanced Phase Precision Driver designed to reduce distortion and resonance.

“With the new SB-G90M2, thorough CAE analysis was used to optimise drivers, elements and enclosure structures to efficiently eliminate unwanted vibrations and distortions,” shares Technics.

Priced at £2199, the SB-G90M2 speaker will be available in Europe in October in a ‘black gloss’ finish.

SU-G700M2 amplifier

The SU-G700M2 Grand Class amplifier builds upon its predecessor the SU-G700, incorporating technology from the flagship Reference SU-R1000 Integrated Amplifier.

It features an MC phono input stage to allow it to connect directly to turntables, and a Phono Input Phase selector designed to optimise playback of older vinyl records.

The result is “improved sound image and dynamic power,” according to Technics.

Priced at £2199, the SU-G700M2 amplifier will be available in Europe in October, in a silver or black finish.

SB-C600 Premium bookshelf speakers

The SB-C600 compact bookshelf speaker is the first product in Technics’ new Premium range, and incorporates technology from the G90M2 – in a smaller, and more affordable form.

It includes a 15cm large-diameter woofer, accompanied by a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter, alongside a fixed driver designed to stop vibrations.

Priced at £799, the SB-C600 speaker will be available in November, in a minimalist black finish.

Technics has also announced the release of the SL-1210G turntable – a twin sister to its SL-1210GAE limited edition turntable.
