Sufjan Stevens to release ballet score, Reflections, on vinyl
The score is performed by Timo Andres and Conor Hanick.
Sufjan Stevens has announced the release of Reflections, a studio recording of his score for the ballet of the same name.
Performed by pianists Timo Andres and Conor Hanick, Reflections will be released via Asthmatic Kitty Records on May 19. Houston Ballet originally commissioned the score for choreographer Justin Peck’s 2019 production. It is Stevens and Peck’s sixth collaboration.

“I’m constantly thinking about bodies moving through space when I’m writing for ballet — that is what has informed this music, first and foremost,” explains Stevens.
