Gwilym Gold premiers latest solo work to inaugurate artist Eddie Peake’s new label HYMN in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory.

If true power lies in understatement, then Gwilym Gold’s ‘Muscle’ is a study in knowing restraint. Premiered on Fader earlier this week, the first new single from the progressive electronic artist since the release of Tender Metal on his unique Bronze project, ‘Muscle’ is a sparse and moving ballad, foregrounding Gold’s gripping voice over some luscious piano work, that rises and dips with melodic, cinematic intensity.

Released on vinyl on the 14th July, ‘Muscle’ is backed with a remix by Beam and represents the first release on British artist Eddie Peake’s new imprint HYMN in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory. With striking artwork conceived by Peake, you can peak the track’s tantalising and surreal video below, filmed at 180 The Strand, featuring dancer and long-time Peake collaborator Fernanda Munoz-Newsome.
