Dedicated to “the pangs and raptures of love.”

Athens-based painter, visual artist, and performer Σtella is releasing a new album, called Up and Away, via Sub Pop this June.

Described as a “paean to the pangs and raptures of love”, Up and Away explores growth, change, and personal development.

Partly inspired by mid-century Greek pop, the album combines Σtella’s vocals with “vintage-flecked pop”, bouzouki improvisations, and kanun playing.

Up and Away follows the label’s release of Weird Nightmare self-titled album, earlier in May.
