UNKLE, Dennis Bovell and Nubya Garcia among those on the line-up.

Soho Radio, the independent online radio station where The Vinyl Factory also holds down a monthly show, is planning a 24-hour vinyl marathon, in which a huge line-up of artists will record live direct-to-disc in the studio.

Using the bespoke vinyl cutting lathe installed in the space earlier this year which has already been used on session by Seun Kuti, Ibibio Sound Machine and others, the event will see artist cut two tracks each around the clock straight to acetate.

So far, the line-up includes VF-collaborator UNKLE, dub master Dennis Bovell, rising jazz sensations Nubya Garcia and Theon Cross, Frank Turner, DJ Yoda, Andrew Hung and Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, the latter of which is responsible for assembling the lathe itself.

Taking place from 22nd-23rd November, you can follow the sessions as they’re broadcast live on Soho Radio and find out more here.
