Hot wax.

Experimental electronic music producer Social State is releasing his debut album, called Sacrosanct, via his own Ordinary Love imprint this April.

“The album has been created as a gift to a 15-year-old me and to deliver on a promise I made as a teenager,” says the producer. “I promised myself I would always make space in my life, both mentally and physically, to keep making music. That’s where the name ‘Sacrosanct’ comes from.”

Sacrosanct features contributions from JD. Reid, Chunky, and Mr. Mitch.

Notably, the release is accompanied by a black fig and vetiver candle, developed with London-based chandler Miserable Wax. All profits from the sale of the candle bundle will go to UK charity Youth Music, which invests in music-making projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances.

Sacrosanct follows Social State’s 2015 Human Error EP, on Mr. Mitch’s Gobstopper Records.
