A Jay-Dee production.

Featuring four CDs and five 7-inch records, a new Get On Down box set exhaustively collects Slum Village’s Dilla-helmed output.

The group put out two full lengths with Dilla as chief producer and part-MC before Jay-Dee left in 2001 to pursue a solo career with MCA Records. Titled Fan-Tas-Tic Vol. 1 and Fan-Tas-Tic Vol. 2, both albums are included here across two CDs with selected instrumentals on a third CD. The final CD features rare bonus cuts.

The box set’s vinyl companion includes two singles off Vol. 2 (‘Raise It Up’ and ‘I Don’t Know’) as well as three exclusive singles (‘Fall In Love’, ‘Fall In Love Remix’ and ‘Players’).

Housed in a deluxe flip-top 7” box, the pack includes a book with rare photos plus liner notes by journalist Martin Caballero, with extensive input from the group’s only surviving member, T3.
