RZA unleashing Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater

RZA is releasing a new album, called Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater, via 36 Chambers ALC/MNRK Music Group this March.

The album was produced by DJ Scratch, who draws on samples from kung fu movies, while RZA provides vocals.

“Lyrically, the hip-hop part of me had a chance to re-emerge during quarantine,” explains RZA.

“Giving Scratch the reins as a producer and me taking the reins as an MC, that’s what frees me up creatively and lets me play more with lyrical gags and lyrical flows because I don’t have to be focused on everything.”

While RZA has shared the album artwork and release date, the full tracklist remains unconfirmed.

Pre-orders for Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater will launch on the 18th February, in advance of its 3rd March release.
