A gaming classic back on wax.

iam8bit has teamed up with Enhance Games to announce a soundtrack reissue of 2001’s techno-led psychedelic shooter Rez, FACT reports. It’s also the Los Angeles-based company’s first step into game publishing, with the release of the new Rez Infinite on PS4.

The Rez Infinite collector’s edition vinyl includes a 2LP set and bonus 7″ with tracks from the new ‘Area X’ level. The edition also includes and a gorgeous book featuring 48 pages of the game’s art and a retrospective from the game’s creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi and key members of the dev team. The book is even sewn into the record sleeve.

If you thought that was lavish, there’s an even more deluxe version available with picture discs instead of regular vinyl.

Originally released on Sega’s Dreamcast, the game’s blistering techno soundtrack is one of the its main selling points, guiding the player through the psychedelic visuals with a barrage of 909 kicks, robotic voices and sizzling synths.

The regular and picture disc editions will drop in October and December respectively, pre-order from iam8bit now.
