Independent record shops in the UK are teaming up with National Book Tokens to relaunch Record Tokens gift cards this May.

Essentially, the scheme functions like a debit card, good for whatever amount you choose, that can be used at any of the participating independent retailers across the country as well as various online shops.

The Record Token is valid for 8 years, and can be topped up for up to £250. You can also replace the card if lost or stolen.
