A new take on the soundtrack to René Laloux’s 1973 sci-fi film Fantastic Planet.

Radiophonic Workshop and Stealing Sheep are releasing a new album, called La Planète Sauvage, via Fire Records this November.

It reimagines the soundtrack to René Laloux’s 1973 animated sci-fi film La Planète Sauvage, which tells the story of humans and blue humanoid creatures called Traags.

Fantastic Planet originally featured a soundtrack by French composer Alain Goraguer to accompany its trippy animations.

Radiophonic Workshop and Stealing Sheep’s score presents “an analogue swirl set in an off-world paradise; a field recording from the future.”

Pre-order La Planète Sauvage here in advance of its 23rd November release, check out the artwork and tracklist below.
