Pizza DJ?
Pizza Hut’s latest gimmick is offering you the novel chance to DJ with an empty pizza box. The box features a DJ setup printed in conductive ink with two decks, pitch control, volume control and crossfader.
Created by printed electronics specialist Novalia, the battery-powered box links up with your device via Bluetooth and connects to any MIDI compatible DJ software like Serato or Traktor. It lets you scratch and rewind tracks. Being non-vinyl, it’s even got a sync button.
Watch Rinse FM’s DJ Vectra demonstrate the box – which actually seems to work quite well – in the video below. If you want one, you’ll need to eat fast because there’s just five out there. Just watch out for that pizza grease…
