The first reggae specialist shop to open in London in many years.

Great news for London’s dub scene: a new reggae specialist shop has opened doors in Brixton Village.

A straight up dub vendor, the new shop will deal exclusively in Jamaican sounds, from the 1960s right up to the present day. And CDs are strictly outlawed – “just original press from all eras,” says manager Ben Bell.

Owner Matt ‘Lionvibes’ Downs has been operating the business as a website for 10 years now but has decided to put down bricks and mortar in Brixton, an area brimming with Jamaican heritage.

The shop is open Thursday to Sunday, 11am-7pm in the Granville Arcade, Brixton Village.
