Music from the Oscar-tipped (Update 27/2: Oscar-winning) movie.

The soundtrack to Barry Jenkins’ second feature, Moonlight, will be given a vinyl release via Lakeshore Records.

The OST includes eighteen hypnotic compositions by pianist Nicholas Britell, as well as tracks by Boris Gardiner, Goodie Mob Barbara Lewis and a piece by Mozart.

Based on the play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Tarell Alvin McCraney and created by the studio behind The Lobster, Moonlight is a gay black coming-of-age tale, set in ’80s projects of Miami and told across three chapters.

The film, which stars Naomie Harris, Andre Holland, Mahershala Ali and Janelle Monáe, has been nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (for Ali), Best Supporting Actress (for Harris) and Best Adapted Screenplay.

(Update 27/2: Moonlight won the Oscar for Best Picture, while Ali won Best Supporting Actor.
