Mission goes back to the future with the Mission 700

An update on the ‘80s icon.

British manufacturer Mission is launching a new speaker, the Mission 700, later this month.

While the new model may look similar to the original 1980 product, upgrades include a redesigned mid-bass cone and a sturdier design.

The Mission 700 also includes a damped 28mm microfibre dome, which aims to provide even playback across the frequency range.

The speaker also comes with optional damping stands to help reduce distortion, which are available in both black or walnut veneer for £299 for the pair.

The Mission 700 will retail from mid-September for £1299.
