When designing the turntable Luxman “focused on three main elements: the tonearm, turntable and drive system – with the priorities being operability, attractive design and functionality”.

The PD-151 features a 10mm thick machined aluminium plinth, newly designed DC motor, JECLO static balanced tonearm, with an acrylic dust cover available as an optional extra.

It weighs 15.7kg and measures 465mm x 164mm x 322mm, with an expected retail price of £2235.

Luxman’s PD-151 will be released in Japan in November 2018 before an international roll-out in early 2019.
