Phonica Records offshoot label Phonica Special Editions herald their first release of 2013 with Gary Cureth AKA Sad City’s You Will Soon Find That Life Is Wonderful.

While comparisons with early Four Tet and Steve Reich may abound Sad City’s latest offering is more than the sum of its parts; an ambitious 4-track EP of atmospheric, sweeping soundscapes and swirling synths exemplified by the morning haze of the opening track “Polymath” and immersive cinematic experience “What I Talk About”.
