Alongside JD Twitch, our man Jonnie G Wilkes forms one half of notorious Glaswegian DJ outfit Optimo. The pair launched their legendary clubnight in 1997 as a reaction to 4/4 techno, and they’ve been tearing up dance floors ever since.
Anything goes is the music policy – with the duo spinning electro, ’50s swing, sleazy funk, post-punk, industrial, maybe even some techno, and everything in-between. Master selectors with an ear for the unpredictable, when they drop a mix we tend to pay attention.
