Soul singer Lee Fields is releasing a new album, called Sentimental Fool, via Daptone in October.

Born in 1951, Fields has long established himself as a key figure in soul, having released over 20 albums since his debut record, Let’s Talk It Over, in 1979.

Fields worked with producer Gabriel Roth to record the album at the start of 2022, producing what the label describes as a “deep, blues-tinged, wholly-conceived soul album.”
