Signed Mogwai record, screen-printed t-shirts and the AED raffle among exclusives for Saturday’s event.
With pillows plumped and bunting hung, the final decorative additions to Glasgow’s inaugural Independent Label Market have been announced. Alongside new releases, back-issues and merchandise, a whole host of the labels trading will also carry market exclusives on the day.
These will include Rock Action Records’ signed Mogwai soundtrack to French drama “The Returned”, limited edition Numbers tees designed in collaboration with Glasgow-based artist FiST and a raffle hosted by AED and their in-house favourite Edwyn Collins. There will also be rarities on sale at Chemikal Underground’s stall, test pressings from Soma Records and exclusives at Insularis, Electric Honey and Creeping Bent.
As if that wasn’t enough, fans of tote bags will be amply catered for at an array of stalls, while label-specific light refreshment at Number4Door (“baked fudge puddles”), Mini 50 (“Mini 50 cakes”) and Song By Toad (“beer from Beer vs. Records”) will supplement food by Smoak and Fire in Babylon.
To whet your appetite further, we teamed up with Independent Label Market to put together a 15-track playlist showcasing some of the labels who will be there on the day, and you can listen to that here.
Independent Label Market Glasgow takes place this Saturday 12th October from 11am-6pm at the Barras Art & Design Centre. Click here for more info and a full list of the labels taking part and watch our film from the London event below.
As ever The Vinyl Factory will also be manning a stall, so watch this space for further news of VF exclusives.
