Commissioned by The Store X The Vinyl Factory, Fly Paper is currently being shown at Strange Days: Memories of the Future, and follows a dream-like narrative through the streets of Harlem, inspired in part by legendary jazz photographer Roy DeCarava.

Featuring texts from Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston, the soundtrack knits together original music by Kelsey Lu, Alice Smith, Thundercat and Kelan Phil Cohran, with additional soundscapes by James William Blades.

Pressed on purple vinyl, Fly Paper’s beautiful spot-varnished gatefold sleeve is housed in a purple PVC envelope, revealing powerful stills from the film.

Premiered at New Museum in New York in 2017, Fly Paper has since been shown at The Store X in Berlin and London, before arriving at MOCA in February 2019.
