Sims released a streak of dancefloor hits throughout the ’80s. 

R&B singer-songwriter Joyce Sims has died, aged 63.

Born in Rochester, New York, Sims launched her career with 1986 single, “(You Are My) All and All”, which reached No. 6 on the US dance charts and No. 16 in the UK.

Best known for 1987 hit “Come Into My Life”, which broke the top 10 in both the US and UK, Sims released six albums throughout her career and was due to release another this year.

Sims’ work has been sampled by Angie Stone, Snoop Dogg, 187 Lockdown and more.
