Released a year after the group’s debut – Unknown Pleasures – on Factory Records in 1980, Closer marked Joy Division’s final LP before Ian Curtis’ suicide in 1980.

In addition to the 40th anniversary edition reissue of Closer, non-album singles ‘Transmission’, ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ are also being reissued on separate 12″s with their original B-sides, the first re-release since Factory Records closed in 1992.
