Recorded in one-take during a performance in downtown New York.

Director and musician Jim Jarmusch has collaborated with Sonic Youth co-founder Lee Ranaldo, producer Marc Urselli and drummer Balázs Pándi on a new live album, out this May via Trost.

Appropriately titled Lee Ranaldo/Jim Jarmusch/ Marc Urselli/Balazs Pandi, the 3-track LP fuses cinematic sounds with guitar-lead improvisations – recorded live with no editing.

It features Ranaldo on guitar and bells, Jarmusch on guitar and mini-synthesiser, Marc Urselli on bass, and Balázs Pándi on drums.

Earlier this year, Jarmusch also released a collaborative album with avant-garde composer Jozef Van Wissem called An Attempt to Draw Aside the Veil.
