A melting pot of psychedelic improvisation, Afrobeat rhythms, and soul.

Harari’s 1977 album Genesis has received its first official reissue, courtesy of Tidal Waves Music.

Formed in the late ’60s, Harari consisted of guitarists Selby Ntuli and Monty ‘Saitana’ Ndimande, bassist Alec Khaoli, and drummer Sipho Mabuse.

Originally released in 1977, Genesis saw the band fusing funk with rock, psychedelic improvisation, Afrobeat rhythms, and soul.

The new edition marks the album’s first official reissue, as well as its first ever international release.
