An “insider account”.

A new book is documenting the rise of grime from UK subculture to international scene.

Written by DJ Target, a former member of the Roll Deep crew with members including Wiley, Scratchy and Flowdan, Grime Kids gives an intimate view of the scene, alongside interviews and archival photographs.

Grime Kids charts “legendary stories and moments in grime music, as well as investigating the social aspects behind the culture” shares DJ Target, “growing up with the likes of Wiley and discovering Dizzee Rascal, to being a member of two of the most influential collectives and experiencing both underground and mainstream success.”

Grime Kids is published 14th June on Trapeze; head here for more info.
