A star-studded affair.

Gorillaz will release their first album in seven years Humanz next month, Pitchfork reports.

There are currently no details as to whether this will get a vinyl release, but given the wax treatment they’ve given to previous albums, it seems like a safe bet.

Either way, expect to hear turns from a massive list of guest artists including Grace Jones, Mavis Staples, Carly Simon, Danny Brown, De La Soul, Pusha T, Kali Uchis, Kelela, Vince Staples, D.R.A.M., Popcaan, Jamie Principle, Kilo Kish, Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth, Anthony Hamilton, Peven Everett, and Zebra Katz.

With Gorillaz sharing the news on Instagram, the tracklist and cover artwork are also yet to be released, but Damon Albarn is expected to provide more details and premiere new music this afternoon on BBC Radio 1.

Gorillaz’ Humanz is set to be released on 28th April. We’ll keep you posted on news about any potential vinyl edition as we get it.

Update 23/3: You can now pre-order Humanz on standard, deluxe and super deluxe vinyl here.

Earlier this week, subscription service Vinyl Me, Please announced a limited edition vinyl reissue of Gorillaz’ classic Demon Days.
