From psychedelic jazz funk to wiggy cosmic freak-outs.

Brilliant Corners regular and sonic astronaut Donna Leake joined us for the final afternoon of The Store X New Museum’s Strange Days exhibition last weekend to play an extended vinyl-only set that spanned the range of her collection.

From slow-burning instrumental ambient to North African-infused wave and trance-inducing free jazz, her set was the perfect soundtrack to the afternoon, bringing the exhibition’s two-month run to a close.

You can now listen to (most of) Leake’s set in full below (sadly the full recording was too big for Mixcloud to handle) below:

Featuring 21 video works from artists like Kahlil Joseph, Wu Tsang, John Akomfrah, Pipilotti Rist and Ragnar Kjartansson, you can read all our features from Strange Days here. Soundtracks and an exhibition catalogue are also available from The Vinyl Factory online shop.
