Coming on Nicolás Jaar’s Other People label.

Belgian composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dienne is releasing her debut album, called Addio, via Other People this August.

Dienne wrote Addio following the death of her grandmother, aiming to use the album to say goodbye in sonic form.

“This is the sound of everyday mourning, a taste instead of an event,” a note from the label says.

It follows Other People’s Would It Sound Just As Bad If You Played It Backwards? A Collection of Sounds from the Studio Eksperymentalne Polskiego Radia (1959-2001) Vol. I compilation, in May.
