From the role of DJs and graffiti artists, to Haring’s relationship with contemporaries Grace Jones and Jean-Michel Basquiat, We the Youth: Keith Haring’s New York Nightlife offers a comprehensive look into Keith Haring’s relationship with New York after dark.

The book also explores Haring’s queer activism and the impact of the AIDs crisis on his art.

We the Youth: Keith Haring’s New York Nightlife follows Soul Jazz Records’ compilation, titled Keith Haring: The World of Keith Haring, released to accompany the artist’s retrospective at Tate Liverpool.
