Cass McCombs explores loss on Heartmind

American singer-songwriter Cass McCombs is releasing a new album, called Heartmind, via Anti- this August.

The album sees McCombs processing the loss of some of his close friends: “their memories guided me throughout, and hopefully they live through the music.”

Heartmind features contributions from Danielle Haim, Joe Russo, Kassa Overall, The Chapin Sisters, Frank LoCrasto, and Nestor Gomez.

It follows his last album, Tip Of The Sphere, which was also released on Anti-.
