Delivering “studio-quality” sound.

Cambridge Audio is releasing a new digital-to-analog converter, called the DacMagic 200M, this February.

The DacMagic 200M is structured around a pair of ESS Sabre digital-to-analogue converters, which can play audio files up to 32bit/768kHz, or DSD512.

It is Cambridge Audio’s first product to support MQA files, which have the advantage of offering “studio-quality” sound in a small enough file size to allow for streaming.

The DacMagic 200M also boasts advanced connectivity options, with twin coaxial and optical inputs, a USB socket, balanced XLR connections, unbalanced RCA analogue connections, and Bluetooth.

The unit includes a headphone amplifier with “the impedance of the 6.3-mm output […] reduced for more power, less distortion, less noise and tighter audio control.”

The DacMagic 200M measures 52mm x 215mm x 191mm, and retails for £449.
