While only the first four classes have been announced, they include lessons from Loraine James, Russell E. L. Butler, KMRU, and rRoxymore, on topics including turning production into live performance, and using field recordings.

The series will be free of charge, with 300 spots available for each class. No prior music experience is needed, in order to “encourage all those from the global diaspora to register.”

Black Artist Database recently relaunched — having formerly been operating under the name Black Bandcamp — with the aim of expanding “the project’s scale and scope, and bring cultural and material support to the Black community.”
