Connected to a specific moment in their lives.

A new podcast, called Listening, has launched with the premise of asking musicians to create and discuss new works connected to a specific moment in their lives.

The 10-part series seeks to engage with musicians who “make sense of the world by transforming their surroundings into original songs.”

So far, Jeff Tweedy, Katie Crutchfield, Mdou Moctar, and Neko Case have appeared, with future episodes set to feature Björk, Laraaji, Jlin, Stephin Merritt and more.

Listening is produced by media company Talkhouse and — slightly surprisingly — Mailchimp Presents, the ‘creative’ offshoot of the email marketing company.
