Ostgut Ton | Zehn marks the Berghain-affiliated label’s 10th anniversary.

Driving Berlin’s techno heartbeat since 2005, Ostgut Ton have announced a new 10xLP vinyl box set to mark ten years of uncompromising electronic music, during which time they have released “92 12-inch EPs, 20 albums, 14 DJ mixes, seven Unterton releases, two compilations, one 7-inch single and one cassette”.

Releasing thirty tracks across ten 12″ records, the anniversary compilation Ostgut Ton | Zehn features a host of usual suspects and Berghain / Panorama Bar residents including Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Efdemin, Function, Marcel Fengler, Steffi and more.

As Ostgut describe: “Ostgut Ton | Zehn is not intended to be nostalgia, not a best of ten years, not a testament of Ostgut Ton’s past. It’s an adult statement of the label’s status quo as well as a glimpse of what’s forthcoming – at the end of a decade, on the brink of the future.”

With cover artwork by acclaimed German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, each 12″ sleeve will feature artwork by a different artist, all of which will be housed in a hard box cover. There will also be a special edition featuring both vinyl and CD formats which will be limited to 100 copies.

You can hear clips, see the artwork and pre-order the compilation from the Ostgut Ton website ahead of its release on 30th October. [via RA]
