With cameos from Off The Meds’ Kamohelo, Baba Stiltz, Bella Boo, Man Tear, Miljon, and Kristian Harborg.

Swedish DJ, producer, and label head Axel Boman is releasing a new double album, LUZ/Quest For Fire, via his Studio Barnhus imprint this April.

Marking Boman’s first full length output since his sparkling debut record, Family Vacation, the two LPs are described by the label as ” separate but corresponding works, communicating through music, design, and words.”

Alongside guest appearances from Off The Meds’ Kamohelo, Baba Stiltz, Bella Boo, Man Tear, Miljon, and Kristian Harborg, Boman has also collaborated with designer Robin Ekemark, and art director/writer Erik Lavesson.

“For Axel’s two albums, we wanted to build on the music to create a kind of expanded universe,” explains Lavesson.

“If you just want to listen to the music, it’s all there and you don’t have to look any further. If you want to go deeper, you have these extra layers to delve into: album art, text, archive material.”
