HYbr:ID Vol. 1 features music originally composed for a dance performance piece directed by Richard Siegal, and performed at the Berlin State Opera in 2019.

“The process of creating HYbr:ID Vol. 1 was defined by the search for a form to bind astrophysics phenomena, fiction, and performance movements,” explains the label.

It marks the first record in a new series of releases from Noto, which will focus on his own works exploring various compositional approaches.

The album is adorned with work by Nibo & Carsten Nicolai, whose 2014 work unicolor is currently on display as part of group show LUX: New Wave Of Contemporary Art at 180 Studios.
