The debut of a label that’s “pathologically averse to pigeon-holing”.
Un Peu De L’Ame Des Bandits, the second album from Belgian band Aksak Maboul (also spelled Aqsak Maboul) is being re-released on vinyl by independent label Crammed Discs.
Fronted by Crammed founder Marc Hollander, the LP was the label’s debut release. Crammed has since become known for its fusion of world music with electronic and rock, as well as the diversity of its catalogue, including Carl Craig, Konono No.1 and Arto Lindsay.
Given Crammed’s genre-defying output, Un Peu De L’Ame Des Bandits is a fittingly unique first record, an experimental blend of sound snippets that traverses countries and musical styles.
