The final broadcast takes place on May 28.

Bristol-based radio station 1020 Radio is set to cease broadcasting at the end of this month.

In a statement, 1020 Radio explained the closure is due to “covid and ongoing rising costs”, and will send off the station with special shows and a closing party. May 28 will be their final day of broadcasting.

1020 Radio launched in 2015 and celebrates underground art and music from Bristol and beyond. Over its eight-year tenure, the station has hosted shows from Alya L, Kareem, ELEANOR and more.
